Should you use Omniture or Google Analytic? The answer depends on what your needs are and what you’re willing to pay. Google analytics is a free program while Omniture can be quite expensive. So if price is an option, you may have already made up your mind.
A few benefits of Omniture:
- Omniture offers paid support, which Google Analytics does not provide. Although you can post your questions to a forum for help from a Google representative. Still, Omniture wins the customer service battle.
- Omniture offers integration with third party advertising campaigns like Yahoo, Bing, Google Adwords, DoubleClick and more. Google Analtyics primarily supports Google PPC campaigns.
- Omniture offers a wider range of conversion tracking capacity allowing forward and back stage analysis and unlimited paths.
But those benefits are only of value to you if you will actually use them.
